INSiAVA (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned company registered in the Republic of South Africa.

 

It was established by the University of Pretoria as the commercialization vehicle for the INSiAVA (Injection-enhanced Silicon in Avalanche) technology. The South African Intellectual Property Fund has subsequently become a shareholder, but the University of Pretoria remains the majority shareholder of the company.

 

The company is the sole owner of the valuable portfolio of intellectual property rights protecting INSiAVA technology in several countries. It is also the exclusive licensee of the applicable background intellectual property of the University of Pretoria.

 

The business of INSiAVA (Pty) Ltd is to develop, commercialize, use and exploit a technical solution to overcome the interconnect delay that arises with the decrease in the dimensions of integrated circuits.

 

INSiAVA has a subsidiary in the USA, INSiAVA Inc, incorporated in Delaware with executive offices in Atlanta, Georgia.
